As the 2026 eventing season gathers momentum, anticipation is already building for this year’s Goresbridge Go For Gold Sale, which will take place in Ireland on November 9–11, 2026.
Widely recognised as a launchpad for the sport’s next generation of champions, the Go For Gold Sale continues to deliver on its hallmark promise of sourcing and selling exceptional event horses for both professional and amateur riders. The regular presence of its graduates at Olympic Games, World and European Championships, Nations Cups and five-star events including Badminton, Burghley, Kentucky, Luhmühlen and Pau is testament to the quality and consistency of the programme.
Recent seasons have once again underlined the sale’s reputation. Among the latest success stories is Tullabeg Platinum, whose outstanding performances at international level have further enhanced the growing list of elite horses to emerge from the Go For Gold ranks. He joins an impressive roll of honour that includes Olympic competitor Cooley Nutcracker, Badminton CCI5*-L runner-up RCA Patron Saint, the legendary five-star campaigner Copper Beach and numerous championship representatives competing around the world.
Since its inception in 2010, the Go For Gold Sale has remained true to its founding objective: bringing together Ireland’s finest young event horses in one location for one carefully curated sale. Each year, the catalogue features 80–90 proven and potential event horses from three years old upwards, all selected by an experienced panel of international riders, producers and industry professionals.
Athleticism, rideability, temperament and natural ability remain at the heart of the selection process. The horses are drawn from some of Ireland’s most successful bloodlines and are presented by leading breeders and dedicated producers. Every horse is fully vetted and supplied with a comprehensive set of radiographs, ensuring confidence and transparency for buyers from around the globe.
