Austrian riders hold the pole position after the dressage trial – the first part of the equestrian triathlon in the FEI Eventing Nations Cup during LOTTO Strzegom Horse Trials.
Austria is represented by: Robert Mandl with Sacré-Cœur (2nd individually), Dr. Harald Ambros with Lexikon 2 (3rd), Lea Siegl with Van Helsing P and Katrin Khoddam-Hazrati with Oklahoma 2.
Second place for now belongs to the Netherlands, and third to Poland. Six teams are taking part in the rivalry.
The individual leader, both in the CCIO4*-S and the Polish National Championships, is Mateusz Kiempa riding Libertina. The rider presented a great form of his two horses – he also sits in fourth with Lassban Radovix.
“The test felt great today, both horses were cooperating with me, they are very good dressage horses, I was expecting the good results a bit, so I’m the happier that it worked out!” – said the rider.
The dressage trials of the other classes have also ended today. In the 3*-S the leader is Belgium’s Lara de Liedekerke-Meier with Freya des Concessions, before Polish athlete Paweł Warszawski with Lucinda Ex Ani 4. In the 2*-L the best result belongs to two Dutch riders: Merel Blom with Inamorata and Jillian Giessen with Newmarket Ritz. In the 2*-S Sweden’s Louise Romeike tops the leaderboard with Extravagance.
The winner of the CCI1*-Intro is Miloslav Příhoda Jr with Lucky Boy-S, before German athletes Nadine Marzahl with Bugsy Malone 6 and Lisa Jöhnk with Quentino Red.
Sweden’s Moa Elofsson was the best in the Pony 2* class aboard Waterloo. Second place went to Sina Brugger (GER) with Next Generation, and third to Pita Schmid (GER) with Sietlands Catrina.
Cross-country trials continue on Saturday, including the most important class – the Nations Cup and Polish Championships.
