The dressage trials, first tests of the equestrian triathlon, began the LOTTO Strzegom Horse Trials eventing competition.
In today’s first part of the dressage of the CCIO4*-S, the Nations Cup, we only saw the individuals. The best score belongs to Belgium’s Maarten Boon aboard Gravin van Cantos – 32,1. And the stakes are high – a win in the FEI Nations Cup series is a chance for a team to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In the most demanding class – the 4*-L, the leader is Germany’s Michael Jung with Kilcandra Ocean Power – 31,5. In the 3*L, Dutch rider Janneke Boonzaaijer sits on top of the leaderboard with Coffee Ijs – 29,2.
