spacer2016 is a year of big changes on a cross country course. Those changes prepare our hippodrome for a unique occasion coming next year- European Championships.
The biggest investment, which we can take advantage of even in this season, is new, rebuilt water fence. It looks impressive at the moment.
After three years with cross country starting towards show jumping arena, where horses negotiated first few fences, now we will start in opposite direction.

As always cross country starts with few warm up jumps preparing horse and rider for the tasks they will be given. These fences are as follow - STRZEGOM, BM HORSE and GILLMET. The next one is combination 4ABC - LOWER SILESIA - consisting of the huge ditch with hedge and then after turn left hedge at the angle and on the top of small hill, narrow table. The next one is fence 5AB- a classic combination of large house and in four stride distance on right turn equality large corner.

After such a solid beginning, there’s time for some canter on a longer distance and well known, maximum size Strzegom’s log on a ditch- fence no. 6. Now we are to enter the crucial phase of cross country. First, ANR combination -7ABC - consisting of massive oxer and two corners on a left turn. They have been positioned in a way to provoke horses to run out to the right. Just before first water fence there’s a maximum size feeding rack MANITOU-fence no. 8 - and here we are in front of water complex. For a start enormous IPEA log jumped at the angle, into the water- that’s fence no. 9. Then we go on a peninsula to jump into the water again through the huge hedge. In a six strides distance, there’s a very skinny hedge to take. This complex is sponsored by ACTIVO-MED Company and TOMCAR Company.

Now it’s time for our wonderful parkour with some beautiful old trees. For a start there’s a hedge then the course goes around VIP zone, jump out of warm up and back on a parkour through the fence with white and red flag and STRZGOM 2016 sign. And just after that combination 15AB VORVERCK- two skinny fences on the diches set at a certain angle.
With that strong point, we are leaving parkour to come back to water fence. First, there’s a big DCU log to jump into the water and then after 5 canter strides - boat. The way riders negotiate these two fences, will influence the second part of this difficult sequence of jumps because after just 4 strides of canter after the boat there are two new JOHN DEER tractors set at the big angle in 2 strides distance.

It was a very intensive part of the cross country course so there’s a time to have some rest and gallop towards next combination. One rest jump over IPEA fence and combination 20AB GRANIMEX/BETGRAN- two skinnies set in a 3 strides distance with a slope down and up demanding a lot of balance.

Fence 21 BOGLER is another massive ditch on the cross country course. We are now approaching to PODA LAKE. First, on the top of the hill, in GRAJEWSCY Company garden there’s a house at the angle and then jump into the water, few strides to jump out of the water and in a one stride distance skinny fence. From this place, it takes only several seconds to the last fence and finish. GOOD LUCK AND SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
