It´s a busy afternoon here at the Strzegom Horse Trials as the horse trucks keep arriving from all over Europe. Linda Algotsson, Karin Donkers, Ingrid Klimke, Stefano Breciaroli and many more has already arrived or on their way to this week’s event.
2016 is a year of big changes on a cross country course. Those changes prepare our hippodrome for a unique occasion coming next year- European Championships.
The biggest investment, which we can take advantage of even in this season, is new, rebuilt water fence. It looks impressive at the moment.
After three years with cross country starting towards show jumping arena, where horses negotiated first few fences, now we will start in opposite direction.
The biggest equestrian event in Poland-international eventing competition - Strzegom Horse Trails is speeding up. This year, 14th edition will gather world top eventing riders to compete in Morowa near Strzegom from 22th till 26th June. The event taking place on Morawa Hippodrome will be record-breaking by all means: as many as 7 international competitions, a number of new fences on the cross-country course, a whole five days of the event, 360 horses on the entry list and 10 riders from TOP50 FEI Ranking- including World Number One- Michael Jung.
A third leg of Eventing Nations Cup Series took place in Houghton Hall last weekend.
Next one will be Strzegom horse Trials just in less than 3 weeks’ time.
In general classification, after three competitions French are on the lead, before British and Germans.
Exactly in a 30 days time, we will be watching the first dressage tests. Between 22th-26th June for the fourteenth time, riders from all other the Europe and not only Europe will some to small village Morawa. The entries deadline is coming closer so we will soon know this year stars of Strzegom Horse Trails. Will last year record be beaten? One thing we know for sure - it won’t lack a thrill.
This year Strzegom Horse Trials is getting closer and it’s getting hot in Strzegom - a true summer has come, there are some serious works on a cross country course and we’ve got first entries.
